To make services available to more individuals, JEVS Care at Home (JCAH), a program of JEVS Human Service (JEVS), is expanding.
On October 21, 2026, JCAH celebrated the opening of its new Dover, Delaware office, which ensures that seniors and adults with disabilities in Delaware have access to quality, trusted home care from a leading non-profit provider.
JCAH caregivers help clients with essential daily tasks, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry, plus personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support from JEVS Care at Home enables clients to live safely and independently at home and in the community.
The new JCAH office in Dover, DE marks a key milestone in making JCAH’s mission-driven care available in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.
It joins JCAH’s Financial Management Services (FMS), which has been serving Delawareans for 15+ years.
FMS provides support for individuals who want to self-direct their care, giving them greater ability to select providers and choose their care at home services.
A special celebration to mark the Dover, DE office opening
At the grand opening, attendees enjoyed refreshments, took advantage of free health screenings courtesy of Amerihealth Caritas, and met JCAH leadership and Delaware staff. They also had the chance to talk with other members of the local community, including health care provider partners, and representatives from the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and local government. Additionally, the JCAH team accepted applications and conducted on-the-spot interviews for open positions with the JCAH Delaware team.
Of the new office, JEVS Human Services CEO Cynthia Figueroa said:
“This year, JEVS Human Services is celebrating 85 years of helping people build greater independence and economic security. While our work has evolved over those years, one thing that has stayed the same is our commitment to creating solutions that meet the needs of our communities.
That’s what brings us here today. “
The opening of JCAH’s Dover office addresses the need for qualified care at home and reflects JCAH’s commitment to providing it.
SVP of Home Care Katie Brooks noted that, by expanding its services into Delaware, JCAH “now offer[s] another option: agency home care, where JCAH identifies and hires a caregiver to provide personalized help with everyday activities.” By combining FMS services with agency home care options, JCAH increases resources for individuals and families. This expansion reflects the way that JCAH’s award-winning non-medical home care serves to help individuals live independent and fulfilling lives at home.
