Insufficient sleep can cause deterioration in brain health, physical health, and emotional well-being. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than a third of American adults do not get enough sleep on a nightly basis (less than 7 hours). To help ensure you get plenty of sleep to take on the rigors of your day, Nurse Kim has highlighted a few things to avoid while you’re awake.

- Eating right before bed
- Drinking liquids right before bed
