Thomas Jefferson University
The Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center for Integrative Medicine is one of the largest institutes in the world with mindfulness programs (Jefferson offered some of the first official mindfulness programs in the 1970’s). Jefferson has produced numerous studies on the benefits of mindfulness for health and now offers a range of programs, including an 8-week foundation course and “Mindfulness Tools for Daily Living for Seniors.”

The University of Pennsylvania’s Program for Mindfulness offers introductory and advanced courses, similar to Jefferson’s.

Philadelphia Shambhala Meditation Center
This Center offers programs ranging from mediation classes to talks on mindfulness. One of Philadelphia’s oldest meditation centers with the widest range of programs. Discounts for seniors and many classes are free or pay-what-you-wish.
