Helping others warms the spirit, enriches the heart and soothes the soul. Studies have shown that volunteering helps people who donate their time feel more socially connected, increase physical activity, and reduce stress.
“Volunteering is a huge opportunity for our JEVS at Home seniors, “said Nurse Kim. “ It can help them become engaged, enrich their lives, and give them a sense of purpose.”
JEVS at Home’s Community & Wellness Manager, Lara Estomin, has teamed up with Kleinlife, Bucks County Area Agency on Aging, and a multi-service volunteer organization called RSVP to offer various volunteer opportunities to our JEVS at Home seniors.
“We are thrilled to be offering our participants a way to give back to their community,” said Lara Estomin. “For those that are homebound, we are developing options for them to have these opportunities fulfilled within their home too.”
