Since she was a child, El Hassani has considered herself a helper. Growing up in Morocco as the youngest daughter of twelve children, she was the primary caregiver for her nieces and nephews while her older, married siblings were working.
“Since I was younger, I didn’t have children so I cared for them,” she said, smiling while recalling the memory.
“My sisters and their husbands worked evenings, so I would make the children dinner, tell them stories, and put them to bed. I remember loving that I was taking care of them.”
Before El Hassani moved to the US, her father also fell ill. Her siblings recruited her, knowing she would be the best one to care for him.She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, but has been a Caregiver since 2008 and knows this is the best career for her.
“El Hassani is a wonderful caregiver, “ said Care Coordinator, Mauricio. “Her patience is a virtue.”
El Hassani puts her whole heart into everything she does for her client. She wants to ensure that she is living a happy and healthy life.
“I have always been the person that people rely on. I love learning from clients, hearing their stories, and building relationships,” she said. “I am proud of my job.”
